FCAG Membership
FCAG members receive three newsletters a year and a copy of the Summer Enrichment Camp Guide. They also help fund general meetings for the public about research on gifted children and education, and the accumulation and distribution of information on opportunities for gifted and talented children. If you would like to become an FCAG member, please fill out our membership form and mail it with a $20 check to:

About FCAG
What is FCAG?
- FCAG is a non-profit advocacy group supporting educational programs for gifted and talented students enrolled in Fairfax County schools.
- FCAG monitors legislation and regulations affecting the education of all students with an emphasis on gifted/talented programs.
- FCAG presents testimony to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the School Board on a variety of educational issues such as budget and curriculum.
- FCAG participates in many county-wide school committees, including the Superintendent's Community Advisory Committee, the School Board G/T Advisory Committee, the Fairfax County Council of PTAs, and others to stay in touch with FCPS issues, and to insure that the views of parents whose children participate in the various programs for gifted learners are represented in all forums.
- FCAG participates in liaison activities with the Fairfax County Public School Staff on behalf of parents and students.
- FCAG sponsors programs featuring nationally known speakers or local education leaders discussing pertinent topics of interest.
- FCAG serves as a resource for parents in locating materials relevant to all students, but emphasizing G/T students.
- FCAG compiles a Summer Enrichment Camp Guide listing various local and national activities and camps designed to enrich students' summer experience. The Guide is sent to all FCAG members every winter. FCAG also sponsors an annual Summer Enrichment Camp fair for the general public every winter.
- FCAG publishes three newsletter per year for members about timely issues in gifted education, hints for helping students at home, and resources for developing students to their fullest potential.
- FCAG FCAG maintains and updates this web site to provide the general public with access to past newsletters and the last Summer Enrichment Camp Guide, as well as links to other web sites on gifted education and students.
